Crufts week opens, the most important dog event in the world. Dogs from all over the globe participate in this extraordinary event. It is necessary to qualify, not all dogs can take part. Only dogs that have won the title of best youngster or the cacib (certificate of aptitude for the international beauty championship) can be registered in this exclusive showcase, in specially selected and identified competitions in each nation. The initial selection is already tough, so the skimming of the subjects, dictated by the obligation to obtain the qualification, makes the average quality of the dogs participating in it excellent at the start.
The numbers of registrations are, despite the need for qualification, very high. Being able to participate in Crufts with their dogs is a coveted goal for a breeder; parade together with the most beautiful dogs in the world an incomparable satisfaction. I am very "linked" to this elitist event, because we were the first Italians in history to participate, 14 years ago, in 2004, leading the way, as is our custom, with a daughter of the legendary Merriveen Make My Day , world famous Buck And Sons champion Evita Peron.
The following year, in 2005, because we like firsts, we were the first Italians to get on the podium with the unforgettable champion Buck And Sons Novalgina, and the following year, in 2006, we had a success that we have not yet it has been surpassed, only equaled. Our Buck And Sons Untouchable in fact won the coveted reserve CC title, first in all of Continental Europe.
In the following years, other dogs from Italian breeding have equaled this very difficult goal, but no Italian has yet exceeded it. Also this year a group of compatriots will participate in Crufts with their favorites who have managed to obtain the qualification. We decided to make a "commentary" on the journey of the Italians who will represent the bulldog breed in England. Our heroes will leave on Thursday for a very long journey by car, in the company of their four-legged friends, who will parade on Saturday 10 March. Saturday, after the race, we will give you the rankings and photos of the podiums of all the classes, hoping to see the Italian team always present on the podium. We Buck And Sons will participate with two females; the Italian champion Buck And Sons Pizza Pazza and the young female, currently in England, qualified for life at crufts, Buck And Sons Irikumi.
Over the next few days Laura, who will make the journey by car together with the group of fellow countrymen, will introduce you to all the participants in this journey and their dogs, with interviews, videos and so on. We will thus virtually participate in the crufts trip with them.
